Palma airport to Magaluf: your options

  • How far is Magaluf from Palma airport?

Magaluf is about 29 km from Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI), along the Ma-20 and Ma-1 motorways. The road is good and the drive takes 25–30 minutes outside peak changeover hours. On summer Saturdays between noon and 4pm, add 15 minutes.

  • How much is a taxi from Palma airport to Magaluf?

Expect to pay roughly €35–60 for a standard taxi from the rank. Taxis are metered, so the fare depends on the time of day, traffic and luggage, and nights and public holidays cost more. Each taxi takes up to four people, so a group of 12 needs three of them and a long wait in the queue at peak times.

  • Is there a bus from Palma airport to Magaluf?

Yes. The A11 airport bus links the airport with Palmanova and Magaluf. It is the cheapest way to make the trip, at about €7 in cash or less by card, but it takes 45–60 minutes and does not run through the night. Check the TIB timetable if you land late. It is fine for a couple with hand luggage, but hard work for a group.

Why groups pre-book

  • A group of 20 needs at least five taxis from the rank, which is slow and splits everyone up.
  • The price is fixed when you book, so there are no surprises on the meter.
  • Split between the group, a full minibus often works out cheaper per head than taxis.
  • Your driver meets you at arrivals with a nameplate and takes you straight to the hotel.
  • Book the return at the same time, so the last morning is not a scramble.

    Book online

Set your group size in the form above, choose a car or minibus, add your flight details and pay online.

  2. 02

    Check your confirmation

  3. 03

    Meet your driver

Your driver waits at arrivals with a nameplate and takes the group straight to your hotel.

Good to know before you fly

  • If your flight is delayed

Always add your flight number when you book. Each option in the form shows its free waiting time after landing and its free cancellation terms, and the details are in your confirmation. If your flight is badly delayed, call the number on your confirmation so the driver knows.

  • Getting back to the airport

The drive back takes the same 25–30 minutes, but allow extra time on summer Saturdays. Plan to reach the airport two hours before your flight, which means leaving Magaluf about two and a half to three hours before take-off.

  • Getting around once you are there

You will not need transport in Magaluf. The strip, beach, BCM Square, the marina and most hotels are within a ten-minute walk of each other. Palmanova (bottomless brunch, restaurants) is ten minutes on foot or a short taxi. Palma is 20 minutes by taxi for a day trip; see where is Magaluf for the geography.
